On the road with Sunsetters
American Solar Challenge 2001
Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago
Saturday, July 14

by Tim Barth and Eric Bradley

Car on display The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago was kind enough to host a solar car exhibit in front of the museum. Twenty teams including NDSU set up cars and worked on them while the public gawked and asked questions. The museum even allowed all team members free admission to see the excellent exhibits inside.

Car in front of the Museum After a relaxing day at the museum, it was all business after that. Headquarters hosted the final meeting before departure to discuss logistics and notify all teams of last minute route modifications. Sunsetters also "threw" a final preparation meeting to finalize roles and responsibilities. Tomorrow brings an early start as we begin lining up at 6:00 am.
